Hyperdrive Innovation designs, develops and manufactures lithium-ion battery systems for powering off-highway and material handling vehicles as well as stationary and portable energy storage systems. Based in Sunderland, UK, where we employ more than 40 people, Hyperdrive is the first company in the world to secure the supply of Nissan’s LEAF lithium-ion battery technology for our own commercial products and holds key intellectual property which puts us at the forefront of technological advances.
As the UK’s leading independent battery manufacturing facility, we have the capacity to manufacture over 20,000 battery packs per year, with recent customers including JCB, the world’s largest online grocery retailer, and a multinational power management company.
