“About the 32nd International Electric Vehicle Symposium”

Sustainable mobility is a key issue for all industrial manufacturers and public authorities. It affects both our lifestyles and the economy in general.

The future of sustainable mobility also depends on major changes to infrastructures, such as electrification, connectivity and driverless vehicles.

To prepare for these changes, it is essential to fully understand how new technology will be used for mobility in the future, as well as the related business models and issues surrounding social acceptability.

About the 32nd International Electric Vehicle Symposium

Invitation to “EVS32, A world of E MOTION”

Sustainable mobility is a core concern for all industrial players and public authorities. It affects both our lifestyles and our economy, as well as facing major changes, such as electrification, connectivity and driverless vehicles. To prepare for these changes, it is essential to fully understand how new technology will be used in future mobility, together with the related business models and issues surrounding social acceptability.

EVS (Electric Vehicles Symposium) is the leading international event to address all these issues. The various components of electric mobility will be on display; from markets to vehicle battery technology (hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell); from motorcycles to trucks, and from charging facilities to related services and public policy.

On behalf of the EVS32 Organising Committee, I warmly invite you to become actively involved in this international event, as a sponsor, exhibitor or participant. The symposium, comprising a scientific congress with a reading comittee, an exhibition and Ride and Drive, is an opportunity for you to promote your products and services, to learn more about the latest technology and developments in related core competencies, and to test new technology in real conditions during vehicle tests. EVS is also the forum where leading personalities from the electric mobility industry come to speak. A platform is also provided for national, regional and European public decision-makers, who will be speaking at plenary sessions, presenting an opportunity to compare public policy with industrial strategy.

EVS32 will take place from 19 May to 22 May 2019 in Lyon, the capital of French gastronomy and a city that is highly involved in the development of electric mobility. The region is home to research centres, innovation clusters and manufacturers of electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells and driverless vehicles. The symposium will be held at the Eurexpo Congress Center situated east of Lyon, between the train station and the airport; an ideal location for driving test vehicles both in urban environments and on main roads and motorways.

The exhibition, conference rooms and amphitheater are all located in Hall 6, adjacent to the car park from where test vehicles can be driven. In this environment, I am sure that discussions will be intense and productive in the various technical sessions, in front of the posters and inside the exhibition hall. In order to assist with networking, a number of events, including the welcome reception and Gala dinner will be organised in prestigious Lyon venues.
Come and join us in Lyon in 2019 to write a new page in the global development of electric mobility and play a role in creating this new «world of e-motion».

I look forward to seeing you at EVS32, which will be a unique opportunity for you to present your technology and services to an international audience, as well as adding to your network of experts, manufacturers and public decision-makers. Details are available of the various sponsor options and exhibition stands.
